Fani Willis stays, Nathan Wade goes, and the Georgia case moves forward
The judge emphasized that instead of removing Wade when the scandal broke, Willis dug in deeper, prolonging the sideshow precariously
After a multi-day evidentiary hearing, Georgia Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled on March 15 that Fulton Country District Attorney Fani Willis can stay on and prosecute the election interference case against former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants. Nathan Wade, her paramour, is off. Although Willis “won,” McAfee made crystal clear that her behavior was bad and tarnished her own reputation as well as the public’s perception of the integrity of the underlying case.
