What's on the line in the 2022 midterm elections?
The 2022 midterms are coming up on November 8 ... are you registered yet?
There’s 5 weeks till midterms, are you ready?

What happens between now and November 2022 will likely determine the fate of American democracy itself.
What’s on the line with the 2022 midterms?
The midterms decide which party has the majority in both chambers of Congress, the Senate and the House. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are on the ballot, as well as 35 Senate seats.
Issues like abortion access and voting rights will be heavily influenced by who wins state-level elections. At least 12 gubernatorial seats could flip parties — including Massachusetts, Maryland, and Arizona.
What issues are most important to voters currently?
Gallup has been tracking issues most important to American voters, and it will come as no surprise that economic issues have come out on top as the most important problem.
The government/poor leadership
High cost of living/inflation
Economy in general
Immigration
Race realtions/racism
Abortion Access
Abortion is another issue that could sway voters coming in November, especially governor’s races. Whoever gets voted in, will have a significant impact on the future of abortion access.
In addition to electing people into office, multiple states have ballot initiatives. Among those states voting to amend their state constitution or other abortion access related measures is Alaska, Kentucky and Montana.
