July 2023 was the hottest month on record globally—ever. The global average temperature was 62.51 degrees Fahrenheit, smashing the 32.59 degrees record from 2019. United Nations secretary general António Guterres put it best: the era of global warming is over, and we have now entered “the era of global boiling.”
